2 Days Into Our Vacation

This was the first day in Disneyland itself. We rented a stroller for Morgan, who really didn't use it much that day, but which made a GREAT place for us to store our stuff, worth it!
We met my sister and our friends and took off on the Disneyland Railroad. Unfortunately it started to drizzle, then to drop, then to just plain rain. We got rain ponchos for everyone. GLAMOROUS I tell you. It wasn't cold, just wet.

First stop, It's a Small World. It was decorated outside and inside for the holidays. I do have a picture of it at night, coming up in another post. The children sing Christmas carols and there are snowflakes and garlands and Christmas cards. It's just really charming.
W've been telling Morgan for months now that he would be able to ride in a blue boat if he could go potty. Well, he's mastered #1 (we're 1/2 way there)!
Morgan LOVED being in the boat.
It's so much fun to watch the water as you gently float inside.
Our happy boy.
Kelsey had so much fun seeing her friend again.
Oh yes, the cleverly placed gift shop placed right on the exit of nearly every ride.
But it's so much fun to check out all the goods. How can you resist a twirling light-up Buzz Lightyear?
Yeah, not to mention everything is at kid-height.
On to Dumbo. Very fun to ride in. It spins around and you can make your individual elephant go up and down while it's spinning around.
Morgan's favorite spot. On Daddy's shoulders...
or in Dad's arms. He really was Dad's boy all day.
Having some dinner at Rancho Del Zocalo. Then we're off to the Haunted Mansion
Which is decorated for Christmas with "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and Jack Skelington.
It is made entirely over for the Holidays. Incredible...
Here we are riding in our "black Christmas sleighs"
It's really different

Disney magic, that's all I'm going to say.

We went on to the Winnie the Pooh ride. It is really cute. Morgan loved it.
I look fantastic in plastic. My hair was all matted down from being in the rain hood most of the day, but hey, I was DRY.
Morgan riding with Andrew.
Oh, here comes the....
Y-A-W-N
Back in the stroller someone fell asleep.
We covered him with a poncho to keep him dry. Soggy day it was.
Here's Sleeping Beauty Castle. Topped with "snow" and beautifully dripping with icicles.
Here we are in the arcade on Main Street USA. I found the goodies of course.
Snowmen carmel apples, Minnie Mouse carmel apples,
Mickey Mouse carmel apples,
Mickey cupcakes.
Fireworks to end the day
Beautiful
