Simple Machines

The entire second grade has learned about simple machines. And to end the unit were required to build a simple machine.

They had to use two simple machines to make theirs.

Aidan used a pully and a lever to make her machine.

You absolutely KNOW Andrew was in on this one. Mostly because it looked like a completely DIFFERENT machine when we started...enough said.

They hosted an open house and we were able to see everyone's simple machine. Morgan LOVED it :)

The ribbon winds over the top of the pully and the lever winds it up or down moving the magnetic ball up or down (the screws are for show)

Aside from the written report, they each had to give an oral presentation on their machine. What it was made from, how it worked and which simple machines were used in it. Part of their grade was speaking audibly and clearly. Aidan sure did well.

So proud of our sweet girl. Way to go Aidan!!
