Our Easter

Sunday morning began with elaborate hair-do's. I'm still flabbergasted that they actually turned out. I am tooting my own horn for sure toot toot!

This is Aidan's. We twisted it and added to a pony tail. Then we curled the ends left down,
sorry it's 2 pictures below.

This is Kelsey's fancy do. Lot's of rubber bands, lots of twisting. It was so pretty.

Here's my Aidie bug. You can kinda see the curls on the left there.

Here's my beautiful brood. I have the best kids ever.

Morgan the goof. He's so silly.

Here I am with Aidan and Morgan.

The best part about church today was when I heard the testimony of a friend who lost her husband this past August. She said even when she was at her lowest and it didn't feel like it, the Saviour was carrying her through her trials. He never will leave us, He will be by our side as we are going through it. Thank you Kristy. I love you.

We made these "nests" for our Easter Egg place cards. It's been tradition in my family to use eggs as place cards since I can remember. When I was pregnant with Kelsey I made a egg that said "Baby Davis" to announce to extended family we were "egg-specting". Sorry for the pun!

This is the first time we've made nests. They are made from Fiber One cereal, marshmallows and butter. Just like rice crispy treats, only a different cereal. They actually tasted really good.

Ah, my crowning dessert. English Trifle, yummmy!

My cousin Martin from Germany is visiting this month. It was fun to have him attend.
We also hosted some missionaries. Full house with 17 people.

There's my brother and my handsome husband.

The kids had their own table downstairs. Kelsey and Aidan were so good to see that the little ones got fed. I have such good girls.

In the evening after things had settled down a bit, Martin gave a power point presentation he'd made of his mission in Russia. I'm still amazed at his first apartment "fridge" It plugged into the wall but it was made of wood with thin sheet metal nailed to it. Kinda makes mine look like a million bucks.
We also did my favorite Easter presentation of Christ's atonement. This is done using ten plastic Easter eggs, and ten scriptures and items which represent the scriptures pertaining to Christ's atonement, crucifixion and resurrection.
All in all it was a crazy busy day, but there were moments of pondering and reflection wherein I felt the spirit on this holy day. I am so grateful for my Saviour. I know he rose from the tomb that third day. I know he lives still.

  2. Cute hair on the girls! And it looks you went alittle red on me. I like it alot!!!! When did you do that? And of course there are your fantastic dinners....You creative woman you!!!
And of course there is the meat, the important part of the blog--The fact that our Savior Jesus Christ lives! Yes he does and His father hears and answers our prayers! If we are going through a rough patch or even if we aren't and everything is fine talk to him--he'll listen. That's what I have learned this past month. My testimony has grown ten fold!!!
