After a 4 kids (3 of which were mine) the toddler bed went out to the recycle bin. It couldn't take another kid jumping on their matress. It had turned into a taco bed. Goodbye toddler bed. Hello big-boy bed! After an nearly all day marathon at IKEA on Friday we came home with new shelves for our living room, new organizing for our kitchen, another red chair, a couple of slipcovers, a lamp, and a new bed and matress for Morgan. I still feel like we've been walking around at Disneyland all day. I'm getting old!

Sweet Kelsey took on the task of assembling the bed while I was doing the shelving. After I was done, I helped her finish the bed. She kept saying "When Morgan's older he won't believe that I put his bed together when I was only 9 years old". It took us about 4 hours, but now our little guy doesn't have to sleep on the floor anymore. It's also great because now all his toys are underneath and I've been able to reclaim some floor space!

Well, Aidan was kinda getting in our way as we were busy with the bed, so I sent her to assemble the lamp we bought. Well, tada! My cute 6 year old managed well and had only one question with assembling the lamp. With her probplem resolved she continued on with her task and finished the project! I'm so proud of her.
Don't you love it when your kids can help out like that? I did that recently with some chairs from IKEA - Spencer put them together. Great time saver :). I love the pic of Morgan sitting on his bed. So cute!
