Entrepreneuer Aidan

On Tuesday Andrew brought home a garden swing from Lowes. He had been working so hard, so I decided I would put it together for him. While I set about my task, Morgan had made a sticky mess in the kitchen. I asked Aidan to mop the floor (she left the sticky stuff out where Morgan could reach it) since she was responsible for Morgan getting it sticky. She was very good and got the mop and bucket, so I went back outside to finish my swing.

About and hour later and only 1/2 way through my project (45 minute set-up time my EYE!) Kelsey came out back. I asked her if Aidan was done mopping. Indeed she was, but she had taken the bucket full of dirty mop water out front to the sidewalk. Kelsey told me Aidan was telling the kids in the neighborhood to get their coins and bring them over to make a wish in her "Wishing Well". I was totally flabbergasted! By this point in time she had already make $1.65.

Wait, it gets better. On Sunday I was helping in the Nursery with one of the moms whose kid made a wish. She related this "Dallen went to get his money and was all excited to make a wish. So he dropped his coins in the wishing well and then asked Aidan "So, now what do I get?" She said he got to make a wish, but he was hoping for something more , so with 6-year old logic she said "That's just the way business goes." Well, how can you argue with that?

So, if you need a wish drop on by sometime, Aidan will be happy to oblige!
