Things I Gleaned From General Conference

It is usually through another person that our needs are met.  (trying patiently to wait for the answer, till I am ready for it.)

By becoming the answer to someone's prayer we often find the answer to our own. (I will do my best to ask Heavenly Father how I can help others, so I may help myself as well)

I should "Preach the gospel at all times, and, if necessary, use words."  This is a quote from St. Francis of Acici which truly applies to all who claim to follow the Savior Jesus Christ.  I hope my actions speak loudly my faith in Jesus Christ.

Affliction is part of our mortal experience, a trial of our faith.  Personal growth is the intended outcome.  (Have I grown enough yet?)

Many times a particular challenge prepares us for something far more important (for example,  having someone not be where they were supposed to be [over the course of many years] preparing you for them not being there at all)

Afflictions are light compared to to the eternal benefit. (I'll take your word for it Lord-you have never let me down and I believe in you.)

Also, the Savior heals the innocent who suffer from the actions of others. (there are many who suffer the consequences of other peoples choices and actions, but can be healed through the atonement of Jesus Christ by forgiving those who have wronged them).

Today I want to rid my heart of hurt and anger.  I grow weary of not being able to let it be.  The pain, the disappointment, the frustration I give to the Lord.  I forgive my transgressors and leave you to God, who sees your hearts better than I , and knows you more than I do.  Though you can't possibly fathom how you have hurt my heart and wounded my spirit, I forgive you.  I forgive you.
