Thank You Dad

A couple of weeks ago my headlight went out on my car.  I had a spare so I popped the hood and unscrewed the lamp.  Oops.  I had a spare bulb alright, but it was for the blinker.  I went to the auto part store and got the new lamps I needed.  They came in a double pack and the guy at the counter suggested replacing both and using my one good one for a spare.
I was at my parents house yesterday and asked my dad if he would help me.  He set to work on the one side and I on the other.  Well, the other side had had some "repair" work done to it by someone who no longer lives here...(the person whose fault it needed repair work in the first place).  My dad noticed that part of the plastic bracket was missing.  So what does he do?

Finds a piece of scrap metal
Measures
Cuts
bends
drills through
bolts
grinds
adds cement to the the bolts so they won't work loose
and applies it to the headlamp.

In short, he manufactured a bracket for me for my headlight so it sits securely.

BRILLIANT.

I am so grateful to my dad for helping me yesterday.  He went above and beyond.  And I love him for it.

If you're reading this dad, I LOVE YOU!  Thank you.
