Another year has come and gone. My first born is officially 12. Due to me being quite busy this month, Kelsey has had to settle for a scaled down version of birthday fun. But, hey I did take her out to dinner and got her a birthday cake to boot! So hopefully in the realm of mom-dom I did okay.
To make up for not having a party (whew!) Kelsey really wanted me to take her to see the midnight premier of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. That sounded really great. I was so excited too, really, 'cause I LOVE Harry Potter (Kelsey's read all the books 5 times now). But much to my disappointment Hollywood has decided that Harry needs to be naked in two scenes. I can't justify this. I am mad because NO WHERE in the movie is this necessary. At first I thought I would just put my hands over eyes, but then I don't really know at what point in the movie I would have to be waiting for to be able to do this.
Kelsey and I have decided to wait until it comes on DVD and then "Clear Play" it. I'm just sad we'll miss the excitement and thrills of a premier opening. Shame on you Hollywood. You are a HUGE disappointment.
