On Monday, after school, I took my kids to Artic Circle to celebrate a successful first day. Aidan and Morgan both wanted a corn dog, Kelsey had a burger and I was happy with my chicken sandwich. While we waited for our order to be filled, we sat in the kid zone area with it's playground.
Aidan was so anxious to get started on her homework so she stood next to me while I helped her think of things which represented her ancestry. My side of the family is exclusively from Germany, and Andrew's side is mostly from Holland. Aidan and I were drawing windmills, wooden shoes, tulips, the German flag, a beer stein and a Volkswagen.
Enter the tray of food. I am busy drawing with Aidan when to my surprise I feel a burning searing pain on the back of my neck. I let out a bloodcurdling scream. The entire restaurant turns suddenly silent, so silent you could hear a pin drop. I turn in my seat to see Morgan holding a piping hot corn dog in one hand and a look of terror on his face.
As calmly as I can I whisper "WHY did you put your corn dog on my neck?"
"To tell you it's too hot to bite."
"You can't just tell me?" I ask.
"No. I had to show you." "Sorry Mommy."
Well Morgan, mission accomplished, and the entire restaurant knows it now too.
OW! a hot corn dog!
ReplyDeleteOUCH!
I hope U R Ok...
I though for a minute U were going to
say your neck froze up and seized up there in the restaurant.
Should I feel bad for laughing? Use the silver gel- it's fantastic for burns. Still laughing.
