Ensign Peak

Last Saturday Kelsey decided we needed to go on a hike so she could pass off a goal in her Faith in God Book (this is an LDS church program for all girls ages 8-11 years wherein they plan and execute goals in areas such as "Learning and Living the Gospel" "Developing Talents", "serving Others", ect...) We found directions HERE and took off towards the trailhead.
It was a WARM day. We brought plenty of water.
Here we are about 1/2 way up. The whole hike only took about an hour round-trip.
At the top you can see the ENTIRE Salt Lake Valley. It is so QUIET and PEACEFUL.
Aidan is pointing to the Great Salt Lake
Morgan is standing by the monument.
Yes, I did survive. Promise.
The rocks in the monument are from all along the Mormon Trail
Unfortunately there is some graffiti :(
Just breathtaking.
On the way down
Guess what Morgan has in his pocket?
No, not Aidan...
A ROCK (kids and rocks, seriously)
Glad we made it down safe and sound...

Mission accomplished!
