It's a Wonderful Wife

Our group did another tree for Festival of Trees this year.
I'm crying tears of joy that I was not in charge :) Our tree is located at the end of aisle J or L, sorry I can't remember for sure, but is is directly across from the scone shoppe. If you can find the scones, you can't miss it.
It pays homage to all the wives and mothers who are harried in the mornings trying to get the little ones out the door and drive carpool in their jammies. The tree is surrounded with the different bags we carry. One is stuffed full of kids books and activities, another with the gym clothes, still another with the day planner and so on.
Our committee chair, Aimee, loves how this elf's hair is all frazzled at the top, yet there she is keeping tabs on the time and "getting it done".
Everything in the vignette is goes with the tree as well. The table, chairs, dishes, napkins. Everything down to the last ornament.
I helped make the sign for the tree. Words on little wooden plaques that say things such as "wife", "babe", "angel","driver","cook", "mom" and other such words as describe some of things women do.

These gift certificates were included as well.

Notice the mop handle sticking out of the tree right above the calendar.
So if you have a moment please run on over to Festival of Trees and enjoy more than 600 trees, wreaths, quilts, a gift shop, Kids Corner, scones, Sweet Shopp (fabulous goodies) live entertainment and SO MUCH MORE. It is at the South Towne Expo Centre 9575 South State Street in Sandy. Doors open from 10 am-10 pm. Cost is $4.00 Adults, $3.00 kids (ages 2-11) You might try your luck and get discount tickets at Zions Bank locations, but they might already be sold out. These are the last days!! Closing night is SATURDAY, SO HURRY!!!!!!!
