Last week we went to Grandma and Grandpa's Davis's house. Minus them. Though they are together they no longer reside here on this earth. My in-law's have been busy painting and organizing and cleaning out the house to make it ready for Tyler to live there, which he does.We had our first family get-together there since Grandma passed on in June. We were called together to eat, and then take home things if we wanted them.

Good food, good family.
I thinks one of the girls got a hold of my camera and took some pictures of grandma's roses.
Morgan was happy to play with (stalk) Tyler's new cat all night long.
Andrew made it!
The sweetest baby boy (since mine!)
Don't you love the little hedgehog blanket?
After dinner we all went downstairs to put our name on things we wanted to take home.
My Dad-In-law ended up being an "auctioneer" for the evening and everyone went home with several boxes of treasures.
I got this cool chip and dip tray. It was really tarnished.
But, as you can see I pulled out the silver polish and have scrubbed it 20 shades of clean :)
I also got some compotes and silverware and some other serving pieces. I have used the compotes to hold pumpkins and have had a fun time googling silverware pattern names. We found a cake server engraved with the letter "D" which we will be using the next time we serve cake. I'll post some pictures of those things later. Right now I need to look up china patterns.
Cool stuff!!What a shine you put on that dip tray. I really think interior decorating is your knack.
