Can you see the furry squirrel? It's there. Kinda looks like a rock.
Here's Morgan squealing with delight at the little critter running around.
Mingling with the ward members.
Oh yeah. Andrew took the girls on a little hike where Aidan grabbed stinging nettle ( a poisonous plant that when you touch it feels like you've got a million tiny slivers in your hand. It puffs up and you can't bend your fingers. Pretty painful. Well I got Aidan washed up and spray applied when I hear a yell come from Morgan. He found someone's pocket knife and sliced his finger good. Andrew and I sped down to the ER to have him stitched up.
He had to have his finger numbed. This of course involved needles which he was not too happy about. They numbed him up and then stepped out so it could spread throughout the entire finger. 10 seconds before the doctor came back to stitch his finger Morgan fell into a deep sleep. He slept through the entire stitching and bandaging. (I attribute this to prayers said in our behalf. I KNOW my sweet Kelsey was praying for her brother.)
Here's our sleepy boy (with blood on his shirt)
After the ER we went to get dinner (because we missed the ward dinner), stopped at the store to get some Motrin for Morgan and a flashlight because we forgot ours and made it back up to the campsite at 10:00 pm. We barely made it in before the gates were shut for the night. We got back in time for smores and to get rained on. It was an eventful weekend for sure!
What a crazy trip!!! I'm so glad everything turned out okay, but my goodness let's not have any more of that sort for the rest of the summer (at least, lol).
