I love to see the temple.
I'm going there someday....
Today was the day to see and feel the beautiful Draper, UT temple. I say "feel" because it is more than just a mere viewing with the eyes. There is actual sensation of holiness emminating from within the walls. Yes, yes, you naysayers, tis true it hasn't been dedicated yet, but nonetheless there is a measure of the spirit of the Lord present.
More holiness give me,
More strength to o'er come
More freedom from earth-stains,
More longing for home.
I felt a longing for "home" while walking through each perfect room.
Though I do not remember my life before I came to earth, I know I lived there with God, our Heavenly Father. A sense of that life is made manifest within the walls of the temple. We are able to recieve a glimmer of rememberance and a longing to return to the place and the presence from whence we came.
Come unto Jesus, ye heavy laden
Care-worn, and fainting
by sin oppressed.
He'll safely guide you unto that haven
Where all who trust him may rest.

Latter-day Saint temples differ from the Church’s meetinghouses or chapels where members meet for Sunday worship services. A temple is considered a "house of the Lord" where Christ's teachings are reaffirmed through marriage, baptism and other ordinances that unite families for eternity. In the temple, Church members learn more about the purpose of life and strengthen their commitment to serve Jesus Christ and their fellow men.
The Draper Utah Temple was announced by President Gordon B. Hinckley, former worldwide leader of the Church, at the Church’s October 2004 general conference. It will be the 129th operating temple in the world and will serve approximately 60,000 members living in the Draper area
I so can't wait to go!
