Give Thanks

Time of thanks,
sitting quiet, remembering
tender mercies from thine hand.
Lord, how is it
you love me still,
with all my faults?
Blessings given,
light received,
return Thanksgiving unto Me.
Praise be to thee,
Though I do not always
Understand the trials given me.
Take heart, believe.
you have faith.
Choose to use it.
-Debbie Davis

I wish to express my thanks for all good things in my life. For friends, for family, for the temple. For my Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray you think on your blessings this day. Remember to express them in your life.

O how you ought to thank your heavenly King, Mosiah 2: 19-21.
Live in thanksgiving daily, Alma 34: 38.
We can always find something to be thankful for, and there may be reasons why we ought to be thankful for even those dispensations which appear dark and frowning. ~Albert Barnes
God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say "thank you?" ~William A. Ward
Thanksgiving, after all, is a word of action. ~W.J. Cameron
As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. ~John Fitzgerald Kennedy
The Pilgrims made seven times more graves than huts. No Americans have been more impoverished than these who, nevertheless, set aside a day of thanksgiving. ~H.U. Westermayer

  1. I loved your poem and thoughts! What a wonderful time of year that somehow always manages to turn our thoughts more towards gratitude than discouragement. Thanks.
